Conrad Bora Bora Nui

Western motu, best sunset views — most overwater bungalows with private pools, best house reef snorkeling, overwater wedding chapel, lively atmosphere, Hilton Honors points

Getaway Unpacked Edit

On its own private motu on the western lagoon: the most overwater bungalows with private pools of any Bora Bora resort (86 villas total), the best house reef for snorkeling directly from the bungalows, the best sunset views (facing west over open Pacific), an overwater wedding chapel, and a lively social atmosphere. Best for couples who want sunset views, pool bungalows, and snorkeling.

Why We Chose It

Conrad Bora Bora Nui occupies its own private motu on the western side of the lagoon — which means it has the best sunset views of any Bora Bora resort (the sun sets over the open Pacific from this position). With 86 overwater villas — more than any other resort, and more pool bungalows than anyone — it is the best option for guests whose priority is an overwater villa with a private infinity pool. The house reef directly accessible from the bungalows is the finest of any resort on the island: rich coral gardens with fish, rays, and reef sharks visible from the deck. The overwater wedding chapel is unique to Bora Bora. The atmosphere is slightly more social and lively than the St. Regis or Four Seasons. The floating helipad (only one in French Polynesia) allows helicopter arrivals. Hilton Honors points redeemable.
