Westin Bora Bora Resort & Spa

The newest resort on the island — completely reimagined from Le Méridien, opened September 2024, modern villas, turtle sanctuary, most overwater villa categories, closest Mount Otemanu views of any motu

Getaway Unpacked Edit

Bora Bora's newest resort (September 2024): the former Le Méridien completely reimagined as the Westin, with modern bright villas, large glass panel windows, the most overwater villa categories of any resort, an Ecological Center and beloved Turtle Sanctuary, and the closest direct Mount Otemanu views of any motu-based resort.

Why We Chose It

The Westin Bora Bora Resort & Spa (formerly Le Méridien, completely renovated and reopened September 2024) is the newest and most modern resort on the island — making it one of the most up-to-date in terms of design and facilities. The overwater villas are airy, bright, and contemporary with large glass panel windows for maximum lagoon views; the resort has more overwater villa categories to choose from than any other property on Bora Bora. The location on Motu Piti Aau gives the closest direct views of Mount Otemanu of any motu resort. The Ecological Center and Turtle Sanctuary (carried over from Le Méridien's legacy) is a beloved and educational program. Varied dining (four restaurants, three bars). Marriott Bonvoy points redeemable. Best for guests who want the most modern design aesthetic.
