Why We Chose It
There is no more mythologised address on the French Riviera. Hôtel du Cap-Eden-Roc has been welcoming royalty, film stars, and the ultra-wealthy since 1870, and its refusal to change — it only recently started accepting credit cards — is part of its legend. The cliffside Eden-Roc restaurant and pool, blasted from the Antibes rock, are the image of the Côte d'Azur. The 117 rooms and villas sit in fragrant pine gardens above the Mediterranean. Closed October–April.
