A 2km stone path along a cherry-tree-lined canal between Nanzenji and Ginkaku-ji temples. In late March and early April the path is transformed by hundreds of Somei Yoshino cherry trees into Japan's finest sakura corridor. Outside bloom season it remains a pleasant walk connecting the three great temple complexes of the Higashiyama foothills.
