Grand Hotel Victoria in Menaggio reopened in summer 2024 after an extensive renovation that restored its Liberty-style bones — original marble staircase and period details — while introducing contemporary taupe and cream interiors throughout. Rooms have soothing lake-reflecting tones with nut browns and soft blues. The spa is the hotel's crown jewel: heated indoor swimming pool, glass-fronted saunas and steam rooms, salt rooms, relaxation areas, hot tub, and a Kneipp path. The open-air pool sits in a leafy courtyard garden; the Victoria Beach Club adds two more pools, a children's pool, and live music on the lake. The Menaggio ferry terminal is a 10-minute stroll, making it an excellent base for day-tripping across the lake.
