The Rosewood occupies the grand Edwardian building that was formerly the Pearl Assurance headquarters in Holborn. The 262 rooms are among the largest in London; the suites in the original wing have soaring ceilings and period detailing. Scarfes Bar — named for the caricaturist Gerald Scarfe, whose originals line the walls — serves craft cocktails in a gentleman's-club setting and ranks on World's 50 Best. The Holborn Dining Room is an excellent British brasserie. The location splits the difference between the City and the West End.
