Egypt donated the Temple of Debod to Spain following the international campaign to preserve Nubian monuments threatened by the Aswan High Dam. The surrounding viewpoint is popular at sunset, but the small interior has limited capacity and can close because of conservation, temperature, maintenance, or staffing. Check the municipal page for current interior access, arrive before sunset for space, and do not promise water reflections because the surrounding pools are not always filled.
