Why We Chose It
The Crillon occupies one of two neoclassical palaces that Louis XV had built in 1758 to frame the western end of the Rue Royale — the building that predates the Revolution and has seen everything since. The 2017 Rosewood restoration involved Karl Lagerfeld (who designed two suites before his death) and architect Aline Asmar d'Amman, who created the thoughtful interior restoration of any Paris palace. The bar Les Ambassadeurs is one of the beautiful rooms in the city.
