Clamato

Seafood

Getaway Unpacked Edit

Septime's more relaxed sibling — seafood-focused, walk-in only, and one of the thoroughly excellent casual meals in Paris. The right move when you can't get into Septime, or when you want very good cooking without a reservation or a dress-up evening.

Why It Belongs on the List

Clamato is run by the same team as Septime and shares the same sourcing rigour — the difference is format. No reservations; arrive before 7pm or after 9pm to minimize the queue. The raw bar (oysters, sea urchin, clams) is exceptional; the small plates change with the market. A bottle of natural wine and four or five plates is the way to eat here.
