Park City/Deer Valley, Utah — Things to Do

Mountain Biking the Trail System

Adventure

Getaway Unpacked Edit

Approximately 400 miles of connected non-motorized trails make Park City a serious summer mountain-bike destination. The Mid Mountain trail runs roughly 26 miles near 8,000 feet, while resort bike parks and lower-elevation routes serve different skill levels.

Why It’s Worth Your Time

Park City is increasingly regarded as one of the leading mountain biking destinations in North America — over 400 miles of maintained singletrack accessible from within the town limits, ranging from gentle valley-floor paths to technical alpine ridgelines. The Mid-Mountain Trail is the signature route — a 22-mile horizontal traverse of the Wasatch Range that stays at roughly the same elevation (9,000 feet) and connects Deer Valley to Canyons, offering spectacular views with manageable climbing. The lift-served bike park at Park City Mountain Resort operates from June to October. Multiple bike rental and guide companies in Old Town make this accessible to visitors. The trail system is best in June–September when snow is clear.
