Completed in 1402, Charles Bridge (Karlův most) stretches 516 meters across the Vltava, lined with 30 Baroque statues of saints installed between 1683 and 1714. The bridge is pedestrianised and a much-photographed spots in Europe. At peak tourist times (10am–6pm summer) it's extremely crowded — arrive at sunrise for the magical experience it was built for, with mist on the river and castle silhouettes behind you. Buskers, vendors, and artists occupy the bridge through the day.
