Why It’s Worth Your Time
Vyšehrad is Prague's original castle — a fortress on a cliff above the Vltava with the national cemetery (where Dvořák and Mucha are buried), a Romanesque rotunda, and sweeping river views. Much less visited than the main castle, it rewards a morning walk. Petřín Hill in Malá Strana has rose gardens, an observatory, and a 60-meter lookout tower modeled on the Eiffel Tower (but 5x smaller). The views from both are spectacular in good weather.
