Why It’s Worth Your Time
West Bay combines a developed beach corridor with access to shallow reef habitat near the western end. Do not treat the reef as universally safe or “30 meters from shore”: entry, depth, current, visibility, coral proximity, and boat traffic vary. Use marked swim zones, enter over sand, keep off coral, wear appropriate flotation, and hire a guide if conditions or navigation are unclear. Check the cruise calendar and arrange the return before dark.
