Diamond Falls and Botanical Gardens is a beautiful and underrated attractions in the Eastern Caribbean — a 6-acre estate with extraordinarily lush tropical vegetation (hibiscus, heliconia, ixora, orchids, bromeliads) leading to the Diamond Waterfall: a multi-colored cascade that changes hue throughout the year as rainwater mixes with volcanic minerals from the Soufrière Estate, ranging from yellow-green to purple to gray to silver. The mineral baths on-site were originally constructed in 1784 for the use of Louis XVI's French troops stationed in Soufrière — they soak in the same naturally warm mineral water today (though the current baths date to a later rebuild). One of the best-value and most peaceful attractions near Soufrière; usually combined with Sulphur Springs.
