Why We Chose It
Located in Avon along the Eagle River, The Westin Riverfront is one of the most complete and versatile resorts in the Vail Valley. Its defining feature is the Riverfront Express Gondola, which provides direct access to Beaver Creek Mountain just steps from the hotel. The property spans a large footprint with 200+ rooms and suites, many featuring full kitchens, fireplaces, and balconies—making it especially appealing for families and longer stays. Amenities are extensive: a heated outdoor saltwater pool, multiple infinity hot tubs, Spa Anjali (one of the better spas in the valley), several restaurants, and year-round programming. Unlike Vail Village or Beaver Creek Village, the setting is more relaxed and residential, but the trade-off is space, value, and easier access to both Beaver Creek and Vail via shuttle or short drive. It’s one of the strongest “value luxury” options in the region—particularly for families or travelers wanting more room without sacrificing amenities.
